Assignment 31.1 Task 1: Purpose and Impact of Social Action Social Action: this is when media is used as a creative tool to increase and inform the public knowledge about specific causes that are currently happening in the world in order for them to take action and get them to help make a change. Purpose and impact of social action : the purpose of social action is about creating an impact and a change within their targeted audience or a greater scale of people. An example of a social action documentary would be 'Supersize Me' . The purpose of this documentary is to make people aware of how fast food restaurants such as Mcdonalds can affect your health.
